I have paid for the full warranty package when the car was purchased plus extended warranty package. I believe this could effect the engine cooling performance and damage the engine if not already. I have an appointment on with the dealer and I'm going to ask for a refund due to in my opinion excessive coolant problems. Because a hose was attached to it they claimed it was not covered! my invoice reads $180. 80 for what turned out to be a outlet manifold, attached to the engine (failure). Not covered under warranties due to it being a hose. Another coolant leak, outlet manifold and hose failure. This was part of a recall so the repair was made. The dealer found that the water pump seal was bad and that the coolant would drip onto the underlying pan and evaporate not leaving a trace of a leak. So we both inspected the car and could not find any leaks so elected to fill the reservoir and notified the dealer. She notified me that she needed coolant added. My wife notice the coolant reservoir level had falling well below the full mark. Now two month later, the problem is present and the chevy dealership claims that it will not be covered since that recall is no longer "open" on my vehicle. They proceeded to inspect the engine cooling system, at which time it passed their inspection. When I took my vehicle to the chevy dealership for the ac, they noticed the open recall for the cooling system and recommended I have it looked at while I was there. Two months ago, my ac broke due to a rock hitting it. I was not having issues with engine cooling at the time, and I put the letter to the side. The letter told me to take my vehicle in for service if there were any issues with the engine cooling system. I received a letter in the mail from gm in 2014 about possible coolant leak. There are two small coolant lines that both run between the throttle body on the passenger end of the motor and the water outlet on the drivers end of the motor (referring to left-hand drive). We had an unusual experience while replacing the intake manifold in our 2013 Cruze LS 1.8 (LUW). He filled up the coolant again and it is steadily leaking coolant when the car is running. At first it was doing more of the same (lack of power and jerking), but after a minute or two it started driving normally, so I decided to go get gas. Test drove it about a mile afterwards.I noticed that I used a different type of air filter last time I replaced it (it looked like my current one but has a fuzz glued to the bottom of it similar to this air filter). Replaced Air Filter today (FRAM 10989).A week or so ago I started having lack of power issues which felt like the vehicle not wanting to shift gears.History of Coolant issues, in the past 4 years I've replaced the water outlet valve, many many hoses, thermostat, temperature sensors, and ending with the radiator a few months ago.
